WEBMASTER 2008
Kenneth Browning
Welcome to Thurrock Yacht Club 2008. We are located in Grays, Thurrock on the River Thames east side of the Queen Elizabeth Bridge. TYC was started just after the second world war in 1946 as a yacht club for working men. Today we are still one of the most inexpensive yacht clubs in Britain where ordinary people can enjoy sail and motor boating. Thurrock Yacht club is run entirely by the membership. Volunteers run the bar, do the catering and service and lay the moorings. There are club nights every Thursday evening and activities on most weekends and holidays of the year. We also have many special events, parties and special RYA and seamanship sessions. LIVE TYC CAM CLICK HERE APOLOGIES THE TYC FORUM IS NOW OFF LINE. THE SITE WILL BE FULLY UPDATED |

We have a purpose built club house with a licensed member's bar, galley, facilities and one of the best workshops to be found in any club. We have a range of low and deep water swinging moorings for sail or power boats up to 10.36M or 34 feet in old money. Our extensive hard area allows for winter storage of boats and dinghey storage during the summer. There is a large secure and well lit car park and small boat store next to the club house. New members and guest mariners are always welcome. |
