Urgent Help Needed From 29th August - 12th September PDF Print E-mail

WORK BOAT
Our work boat needs painting top and bottom and Tony Judd needs your help to get this task completed as soon as possible. So get into your anti foul gear and give a hand with a brush and roller for a few hours from Sunday 29th August. Tony and other helpers have spend an extraordinary amount of hours hard work in the last few weeks preparing the boat so any help you can give even if it's just a couple of hours one afternoon would be appreciated.

NEW GALLEY
Are you good at tiling or general decorating? A great team effort by Lee, Terry, Dave, Derek and Mick has given us a new galley practically for free! They need help finishing this off during September especially if you are practical. See Lee Courtney for details.

A big TYC thank you to Tony, Alan, Chris, other work boat helpers, Lee, Terry, Trevor, Mick, Derek and Dave and any one else who mucks in!

Things are happening online at TYC and it's time for you to be involved. For starters we are keeping our promise to keep the website updated and a group now meets regularly to make the website better and keep it up to date. Probably one of the most burning questions is when is the web cam online again? Unfortunately the old webcam has broken but thanks to Lee we have some replacements and as soon as the boats are in we will be setting that up.
Read on for more news and feedback on the club, the bar and the balcony.

TYC_Sunset

Welcome to Thurrock Yacht Club. We are located in Grays, Thurrock on the River Thames just to the east of the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge.

TYC was established in 1946 as a yacht club for the working man. Today we remain true to that principle, being one of the least expensive yacht clubs in the British Isles where anyone can enjoy sailing and motor boating. To keep our fees down our members volunteer their time and skills to run the club and bar, maintain the clubhouse and lay moorings.
